Presentation Guidelines

We always plan to make the ESREA Life History and Biography Network conferences a place where we can share our research alongside building a supportive academic community. Now that this year’s conference will be held online we are particularly committed to maintaining our focus on discussion and dialogue. To maximise the opportunity for discussion and dialogue we are asking for your presentations to be made available for viewing, or reading in the weeks proceeding the conference.

The recorded presentations will be available for anyone who has registered for the conference. We believe that sharing the presentations in this way will support good enough dialogue and space for critical reflection and feedback. The conference programme will be organised into sessions where two experienced Chairs will facilitate group discussion. It is also our intention to provide ‘open spaces’ outside of the timetable sessions to encourage extended dialogue.

We kindly ask you to prepare your presentations according to the guidelines below:
  •  you can prepare your submission as a video recording, PowerPoint presentation, video with slides or final paper (3000 – 5000 words).
  •  each presentation/video recording should be no more than 20 minutes long.
  •  be sure to provide your name at the opening of the video recording, on the title of the PowerPoint slide, or final paper submission.
  •  please label the file you submit with the title and your name.

Please submit the presentation by Wednesday, the 10th of February. This will enable the presentations to checked and uploaded ready for you to view before the conference.

If you have any questions about your presentation, please contact Anna Andrejów-Kubów at anna.andrejow-kubow@dsw.edu.pl
